Hello, I'm just getting started here - trying to put myself out there on the web, as I don't seem to talk to many people in person anymore.
I live in an outer-southern suburb of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. I've had various jobs - usually office-based ones. About 6 years ago I bought a book-exchange at a 3-day market nearby. I lasted there for 6 years, until changes were made to the market, rent was going up and the customers were beginning to annoy me. All those lovely books I had, and all they wanted was : Danielle Steel (older women), Mills and Boons (all women), Westerns (older men), or porn (all men). In the end, I realised that I had the shop because I liked books, but not because I liked people. :-) So I closed it down, and I now have a spare room full of books that I sell on the internet. Lovely!!

I live with my husband, and my 3 parrots - Skeeter (10 year old cockatiel), Horris (aka Horace the Horror), a 2.5 year old Alexandrine, and Artemis (aka Arty Pharty), the 2.5 year old Elcectus.
Needless to say the 2 younger one are going through the terrible-twos at the moment, and doing quite well at making me crazy(ier).

I'm not artistic, but I like to dabble. I write continuously but have never finished a story. I like to make up stories in my head about characters in TV shows, and books that I like. I should write them down, but am too embarrassed that they will be crap.

I'd love to be able to draw. Bought some pencils - grey and coloured, and will try a few things - but don't hold out any hopes.

Wish we came with a tag that said what were were destined to be good at, but I guess the fun is in trying everything and learning the hard way.

I tend to enjoy cozy mysteries, and modern crime, and like to collect Biggles books (have read all of the ones I've got), and Dr Who books (have lots, but haven't read any yet).
